Frequently asked questions
What is "My Personal Color Analysis"?
“My Personal Color Analysis” is a browser-based tool that analyzes your selfie to determine your seasonal color type (e.g. “True Spring,” “Deep Winter”) and shows you a curated palette of clothing and accessory hues that flatter your natural coloring.
How does "My Personal Color Analysis" work?
We use client-side face detection to locate a reference point on your face, sample your skin’s average color, then run a rule-based classification to match you to one of 12 seasonal color profiles. All processing happens in your browser—no photo ever leaves your device.
What kind of photo should I upload?
For best results, use a clear, front-facing selfie taken in natural daylight. Avoid strong shadows, filters, heavy makeup, or hats/glasses that cover your face.
Is my photo saved or shared?
No. Your image is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to any server. We do not store or share your photo—your privacy is guaranteed.
Can I use it on my phone or tablet?
Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on modern mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Android Chrome). Just open the page, tap the upload area, and select from your photo library or camera.
How accurate is the analysis?
Our core classification is based on a simplified seasonal-color algorithm. While it gives a fun, helpful starting point, consider it a style guide rather than a strict rule. For a deeper consultation, professional color analysis is recommended.
Why are there 12 seasons?
Traditional seasonal color theory has 4 main seasons. We’ve expanded to 12 for greater nuance: Light, True, and Soft variants within Spring and Summer, plus Light, True, and Deep within Autumn and Winter—so your palette is ultra-personalized.
Can I retake or redo the analysis?
Absolutely. Refresh the page or click the upload area again to try a different photo or lighting. You can experiment with various looks to see which yields the most flattering palette.
How do I use my results?
Once you know your season, shop for clothing, accessories, and makeup in your personalized palette. We recommend keeping a swatch card (print or digital) on hand when shopping or planning outfits.
Will you add more features?
Yes! We’re planning: Stay tuned for updates right here!
